Nurture is an exciting new social enterprise designed to create an employment pathway for young people and adults who have a lived experience with mental health and problematic substance use. We know that meaningful employment is an important enabler to boost confidence, increase self-esteem, build financial independence, connect to community and promote long term recovery, enabling individuals to live their lives well.
Nurture represents a collaboration between Lives Lived Well, DGT, Food Connect and Nature Cycle Farm to provide access to training and employment for people who, in the past, may have struggled to gain or maintain meaningful employment due to their personal circumstances. This venture provides the opportunity to contribute to a local, sustainable, regenerative farming and distribution co-operative, based at Chambers Flat in Logan City. Access to training and employment is a key component of the business with our employees involved in many aspects of production as part of their upskilling.
