William Stubbs is an award-winning social entrepreneur, writer, speaker and consultant. The son of a software entrepreneur and an artist, William was influenced early on by the power of technology and creativity to change the world and help others. In 2011 he co-founded the acclaimed mental health non-profit Spur Projects – now known for its cutting-edge mental health campaigns including Soften the F*ck Up, #oldmate, and the world’s first global mental health data project, “How is the World Feeling?”
Geoff Suttor is simulation training developer at Bondi Labs, creating serious games for the plant biosecurity space in collaboration with the CSIRO, QUT, SBIT and the Crawford Fund. The objective is to develop effective and scalable skills development solutions that address global food security challenges in the 21st Century. Geoff has spent over 20 years creating content for digital media industries including film, TV, video games, music videos, simulation & training.
Lauren Shuttleworth is a social entrepreneur and gender equality activist. In late 2014 she founded Words With Heart, an eco-friendly stationery social enterprise that funds women’s and girls’ education projects. The company has already been awarded grants from ING Direct and Macquarie Group, and is currently negotiating a supply deal with a large Australian retailer. Words With Heart has also funded more than 50,000 education days for women and girls in Sierra Leone, Uganda and Cambodia.
Like her eye-catching activewear, Alisha Geary likes to stand out from the crowd. Producing running tights and fitness accessories decorated with Indigenous art, the 22-year-old has won the attention of some big names, including Google. Alisha won a pitching competition for her fledgling activewear business Faebella. The search engine juggernaut invited Geary to join their accelerator program after she took out the Bond Business Accelerator pitching competition last year.
