Abundance College Inc is a not-for-profit organisation located in Ormiston, QLD founded by two families who have teenagers and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. With the focus on providing early intervention for children with Autism, and the scope of ASD dramatically changing only in the past 20 years, there are adults that may not have been diagnosed with Autism until later in life or have received only a small amount of support through school. Abundance College Inc works with people with Autism Spectrum Disorder to assist with transitioning into employment, and adulthood.
We provide support to people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, so they can gain independence, confidence and the ability to perform daily living activities in environments that are not autism-specific.
Through our customised Abundance College is connected with the community to provide people with Autism Spectrum Disorder extensive opportunities through employment to develop their full potential, so they have a better chance with transitioning between life stages including secondary education to employment and independent living skills for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Our Java Train is a small mobile coffee and ice-cream trailer where our participants gain skills and knowledge including becoming a talented barista, learn food safety, operate point of sale systems and how to interact with customers.
Our online store sells handmade sensory items by our participants.
We have a social group where participants learn about interaction and communication so they can gain independence, confidence and the ability to perform daily living activities in environments that are not autism-specific.
