Changes to Commonwealth Procurement Rules
Some of the key changes to the CPRs include:
- A procurement threshold increase from $80,000 to $125,000 for all non-corporate Commonwealth entity (NCEs) non-construction procurement.
- New rules for NCEs to only invite Australian businesses to tender for government contracts for non-panel procurement below the relevant procurement threshold; and only SMEs to be invited for Management Advisory Services (MAS), People and DTA panel procurements under $125,000. The Indigenous Procurement Policy must still be applied where relevant.
