Membership Types
There are four ways to get involved
Social Enterprise
A social enterprise is a business that puts people and planet first.
At its core, it has:
1. a social and/or environmental mission embedded in its DNA;
2. derives the majority of its revenue through trade rather than through grants, donations or gifts, and;
3. reinvests a substantial portion of its resources and efforts back into its impact model.
Associate
Associate members include organisations and individuals committed to social impact
These members can be: 1. businesses on the journey of becoming a social enterprise; 2. charities and not-for-profits that do not trade goods or services but exist to make the world a better place, and; 3. a business, foundation, individual, government, or industry body that supports or is involved in the social impact sector.
Individual
An individual interested in social enterprise, impact-led business or the broader ecosystem.
Individual members receive access to core membership benefits, including sector updates, discounted events, and opportunities to connect with the social enterprise community. This tier is designed for those looking to learn, engage or support the broader sector and ecosystem in Queensland.
Youth
A social entrepreneur or enterprise with a founder under the age of 21 years.
Youth members receive the same membership benefits as the equivalent tier of social enterprise or associate membership. Youth Social Enterprise Members also receive tailored support, including mentoring, youth-specific events and access to programs suitable for the stage of business and age of founder.
