Our social enterprise tea business was proudly established in 2018 as an initiative of the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre to help combat the crippling rates of youth unemployment, poverty and homelessness affecting our beautiful region.

Our Work
The project aims to provide an empowering workplace for youth to learn life-long skills while helping us in our vision to end local poverty. Our trainee 'Tea Crew' are inspired to lead the project with help from local 'at-risk' youth to work in our tea manufacturing, tea cafe and Comfort Kitchen programs.
We provide a place for people to belong, feel safe and be connected to a community of support. we focus on all community members at any stage of life. we provide support through Bay Families for parents and carers with children 0-18yrs. We provide support & transport to the elderly. We offer free community meals every week. We provide community navigators to support the vulnerable in our community. we provide guidance support and counselling to Youth.
We offer equine facilitated learning and Cert II in catering through skilling Queenslanders grant funding. We get young jobseekers industry ready. we fund community 'Pitch nights' to get innovative ideas off the ground. We fund Christmas lights in the Park and hold 'Global Beats' festivals in the park for the community. We provide legal and tenancy advice and support to the community. We work with youth 12-18yrs who are at risk of homelessness. we provide vouchers and emergency relief funding to the community.
