The Q2032 Industry Advisory Group (IAG) held its inaugural meeting in November 2023, marking an important milestone in shaping procurement outcomes linked to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
QSEC is pleased to confirm that our CEO, Adele Laughton, has been appointed to the IAG, representing Queensland’s social enterprise and purpose-led business sector.
Convened by the Brisbane 2032 Coordination Office, the Advisory Group will play a key role in guiding the implementation of the Q2032 Procurement Strategy, with a strong focus on ensuring Queensland businesses are well positioned to participate in opportunities connected to the Games.
The IAG brings together 18 industry bodies to provide advice on how the Procurement Strategy is implemented, helping to ensure that Queensland businesses are prioritised across an estimated $180 billion in Queensland Government procurement expected to flow over the next nine years.
